Life is full of transitions, from major milestones like starting a new job, getting married, or having a child, to quieter shifts such as moving to a new city, changing routines, retirement, or ending a relationship. Even when these changes are positive or chosen, they can still feel stressful, disorienting, or emotionally overwhelming.
Transitions often bring a mix of experiences, including loss of routine, uncertainty about the future, and shifts in identity or self-understanding. It’s also common to experience grief during change, even when it’s a step forward, as we let go of familiar roles, environments, or versions of ourselves.
