EFT

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals and couples strengthen emotional connection and improve relationship satisfaction. It focuses on understanding deeper emotional needs and the patterns that shape how we relate to the people closest to us.
At Evergreen Counselling Collective, EFT involves identifying recurring emotional cycles, increasing awareness of underlying feelings, and learning to express emotions in a clearer, more open way. Therapy also supports the development of safety, trust, and responsiveness within relationships, helping to shift patterns that may be contributing to distance or conflict.
EFT can be helpful for relationship difficulties, communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, trust issues, infidelity, and challenges with emotional expression. It is a collaborative process that often involves exploring both present experiences and past relational patterns to better understand how they influence current dynamics.
