MBCT
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, and relate to them in a more balanced and compassionate way. It supports greater emotional resilience by helping you step out of automatic, unhelpful thinking patterns and into present-moment awareness.
At Evergreen Counselling Collective, MBCT integrates mindfulness techniques such as meditation, body scans, and mindful awareness with cognitive exploration of thought patterns. Therapy also focuses on emotional regulation and developing self-compassion, helping you respond to internal experiences with greater steadiness and care rather than reactivity or judgment.
MBCT can be helpful for concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, and challenges with emotional regulation. It is a structured, supportive approach that encourages ongoing mindfulness practice both inside and outside of sessions.
Through this work, MBCT helps cultivate greater clarity, calm, and resilience, supporting you in navigating life’s challenges with more awareness, balance, and self-understanding.
